The era of sandals and bare feet is upon us, which also means it’s time to take care of the thickened skin on your heels.
The good thing is, you don’t always need a beautician, you can make your own foot scrub.
Cantarion Oil
On warm days, rough, scaly skin on the feet, especially around the toes and on the heels, is absolutely undesirable. To get rid of it, two ingredients can help you. It is enough to mix a spoonful of sugar and St. John’s wort oil (preferably homemade) in a cup. Rub the soles of your feet with this mixture, you can also do it in the bath. All thickening will disappear, and the skin will become radiant and smooth. At the same time, you don’t even need a special foot cream, because St. John’s wort oil nourishes your feet. Repeat the process once a week or as needed.
lemon
Standing for too long, not drinking enough water, obesity, uncomfortable shoes, etc. can all cause cracked heels… Whatever the reason, exfoliating with lemon juice can help. Mix a spoonful of brown sugar, a spoonful of lemon juice, a spoonful of honey and olive oil. Fill a basin with warm water and place your feet in the basin for ten minutes to soften the skin. Then massage your feet with the mixture you made and rinse with warm water.
Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar can do a lot for our skin, including the skin on our feet. It will make your heels soft and help you fight stubborn fungus. Pour warm water into a basin and add a cup of apple cider vinegar. Soak your feet in the water until it starts to cool, then wipe your feet with a soft towel and file. Finally, apply a cream of your choice, preferably one containing panthenol, aloe vera, or petroleum jelly, and put on thin cotton socks.
