As part of the celebrations for Housecalls’ 30th anniversary in May 2024, we spoke to members of the Community Housecalls team.
JT has worked in the Department of Surgery at Harborview Medical Center since 2004, assisting Spanish-speaking patients through their surgical procedures. JT helps patients understand the pre-operative preparation process, day-of-surgery instructions, and provides clear discharge instructions in Spanish to patients and families. This ensures that patients understand everything and follow their care, helping to prevent extended hospital stays or readmissions.
