Michael Rosenblum
Michael Rosenblum has been at the forefront of the digital video journalism revolution for over 30 years. During this time he has led a movement for video literacy and a complete rethinking of how television is produced and controlled. His work includes: The complete conversion of the BBC’s national network (UK) to an anchor-driven model, beginning in 2002. The complete conversion of Voice of America, the U.S. government’s broadcast arm (and the largest broadcaster in the U.S. world), from shortwave broadcasting to telecasting and webcasting using a VJ paradigm (1998-present). Building New York Times Television, owned by The New York Times, the largest producer of nonfiction television programming in the U.S. Rosenblum was both founder and president of NYT TV, all based on this paradigm (1996-1998). President and founder of Video News International, a VJ-driven global newsgathering company with over 100 journalists worldwide. (1993-1996) Other clients include Spectrum News, Verizon, and CBS News.
