LUCENA CITY – Police seized over P3.3 million worth of “ice” from two suspected drug dealers in a bust in the city.
Quezon provincial police chief Col. Ledon Monte reported on Saturday that on June 14 at 5:43 p.m., agents of the provincial drug enforcement group arrested “Mohammed,” 48, and “Babilin,” 25, after they sold P10,000 worth of methamphetamine to an agent in Bocohan village.
Based on information provided by the Dangerous Drugs Board and a digital scale, police seized a total of five bags of methamphetamine weighing 165 grams with an estimated value of P1,122,000 from the suspects.

According to the police, the seized methamphetamine is worth P3,366,000 based on the current street market price of P20,400 per gram.
Police also seized a car believed to be used by the suspects for illegal drug trafficking.
Authorities are investigating the source of the drugs sold by the two suspects, both residents of Malvar town in Batangas.
The suspect has been detained and will face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 2002.
