Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni considered this match special because he made his debut as Albiceleste coach on September 7 against Guatemala.
“I remember that match. Who doesn’t remember their first match with the national team? I have it as an indelible memory and I will keep it forever,” were the coach’s first words when asked what it meant to face Guatemala.
“They are a good team and they played a great game against Ecuador and made it difficult. It makes me think they are a good team and I always say it’s not worth taking it easy, so I have the highest respect for them,” he added.
The match will be held at FedEx Field today at 6:00 pm, where Guatemala and Argentina will face off.
