Irish Parliament proposes core funding for iCARE

The Dáil once again raised the need for core funding for the Inishwen iCARE project.

The service, which provides support, respite care and training to families of children with autism, is furious because it was unaware of the millions of euros in funding announced through the Children’s Disability Services Grant by Minister Anne Rabbitte during her recent visit to Donegal.

The group had applied for €22,000 but was unsuccessful in securing the funding.

Donegal deputy MP Padraig MacLochlainn has asked Finance Minister Michael McGrath to arrange a meeting with Minister Rabbitte to secure funding for the service:
