On Tuesday, Kaunas politicians approved the mayor’s idea of building a monument to AM Brazauskas.
V. Matijošaitis himself had previously stated that he envisioned the monument to appear in the Historical Presidium, but critics said that this location was illogical, since it was to commemorate the leader of the First Lithuanian Republic.
Others raised questions as to why Kaunas needed such a monument.
