Estonian football team’s first-choice goalkeeper Carl Jacob Hainer had a tough day in the fourth round of the Spanish Super League as his hometown team Valladolid lost 0-7 away to Barcelona.
The hosts Barcelona took the lead in the 20th minute when Rafinha cleverly took the ball off his chest and pushed past Hainer in the penalty area, and four minutes later Robert Lewandowski took over from Lamine Yamari’s pass and Barca took the lead in extra time. In the first half, Jules Kounde took an open ball in the Real Valladolid penalty area and crossed for a corner.
Valladolid’s situation did not improve in the second half: Rafinha scored in the 64th and 72nd minutes to complete his hat-trick, Dani Olmo sent the ball into Haina’s back post from the corner of the six-yard box in the 83rd minute, and Ferran Torres completed the final score two minutes later.
Hein had to receive three balls from behind against La Liga giants Real Madrid last week, but he was not directly responsible for any of Barca’s goals, leaving the entire Valladolid backline in shock. More worryingly, the Estonian goalkeeper was helped by Valladolid’s team doctor in the first half as he grimaced in pain with his hands on his hips during the match.
Barcelona, which continues to win all the games, remains at the top of the standings with a 13:3 goal difference advantage, while Valladolid ranks 12th with 4 points with a 1:10 goal difference advantage.
