Telegram messenger co-founder Pavel Durov said during his interrogation in Paris that he was in contact with representatives of France’s Directorate-General for Internal Security (DGSI, counterintelligence), including meetings with them in Dubai. Write TASS refers to Liberation.
According to the publication, Durov noted at the meeting that he believed it was inappropriate to disclose information related to military secrets. The exact content of the discussion was not specified.
Durov also stated that as part of the fight against terrorism, he has established official communication channels with the DGSI, including a hotline and a special email address. According to him, exchanging information through these channels has helped prevent several terrorist attacks.
The publication added that after his arrest, Durov expressed his willingness to cooperate and provided law enforcement agencies with his mobile phone and its access code.
