Nine people obtained Reef Check Eco-Diver certification

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Coral Reef Assistance Restoration and Education – CARE SKN’s mission is to protect coral reefs and train men and women who can help protect and preserve the Commonwealth’s coral reefs.

CARE SKN, in partnership with the Department of Marine Resources, the Nevis Aquatic Sailing Centre and the Reef Check Foundation, hosted a week-long training course for local and foreign participants, including but not limited to a practical reef check course.

Nine individuals completed the course, each earning Reef Check Eco-Diver certification.

The lecturers are Valerie Grégoire, Vaughn L Sturge and James Hewlett.

Eric Evelyn, Minister of Natural Resources of the Government of Nevis, congratulated the participants on completing the course, as well as Valerie Gregoire and Rudelle Williams, the facilitators of CARE SKN.
