Volunteer Reserve resumes duties to tackle surge in SKN criminal activity

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Major Kayeod P. Sutton, Acting Commander of the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force, met with members of the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force Volunteer Reserve.

The Volunteer Reserve is a sub-unit of the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force that provides additional manpower in times of crisis to assist in maintaining peace in the community.

According to a news release from the St. Kitts and Nevis Armed Forces, all other reservists were called back to duty as law enforcement agencies step up their efforts to combat illegal activities in the commonwealth.

The release also confirmed that Maj. Keod Sutton met with senior staff and NCOs to provide guidance to the officers and allow them to share their thoughts and concerns to discuss the way forward in terms of organization and execution of duties.
