Sayyid Jalili, a candidate for the 14th presidential election, said in part of his speech on the “Bamardam” program: In decision-making occasions, the shadow government tries to help the government in any direction through highly professional decision-making – doing things with an eye on the national interest. Dozens of expert proposals on solving national problems were sent to the highest decision-making authorities, from the highest leaders of the revolution to the respected heads of the presidency and the heads of other forces. I would like to mention our dear brother, the martyr and the beloved president of the country, who welcomed each letter with compassion and mentioned or followed up that a series of instructions from the martyr Raisi on these proposals will be sent to you.
Talking about the shadow government’s offer of a solution to sell oil to the Shahid Raisi government, Jalili reminded: Before Shahid Raisi, it was claimed that we could not sell oil, we in the shadow government prepared a solution to sell oil under the same conditions, we gave the government time, and within the same government, oil sales began to grow. This work was completed during Shahid Raisi’s time and reached a point where our daily sales exceeded 1.5 million barrels. Of course, this is the minimum, and we are not satisfied with this; we should look for the development of downstream industries and value-added chains to replace crude oil exports with products and benefit the country more. We have a specific plan for this issue, which will be released soon.
It is worth mentioning that although there are various figures for Iran’s oil discount to China, most of them are between 12 and 15 US dollars. If calculated according to the government statement, Iran’s average oil exports to China are 1.2 million barrels, which is 12 US dollars more than 9 billion US dollars, and 10 billion US dollars more than the country’s oil revenue discount of 15 US dollars, which is a gift to China.
