On the last Thursday of August, Slovenian clubs will play three matches in the European Football Association competition. National champions Celjani, Olimpija and Maribor are competing for participation in the same competition – the Division League in the 2024/25 season. The most intense is in Storice, where the first fans of Olimpija and Rijeka have already gathered. The section behind the away gate is reserved for the latter, but many people bought tickets for the other sections, which will surely be interesting.

UEFA’s generous bonuses

The starting points of the first three matches of the Delevingne restart are known, and the results of the first matches are also clear: Pujnik (Arm) – Celje 1: 0, Jurgarden (Šve) – Maribor 1: 0, Rijeka (Croatia) – Olimpia 1: 1. Ljubljana People will first play against Rec People (7:00 pm), and later (8:15 pm) will play Celje and Pod Kalvarija in Maribor.

For the Slovenians, it was worth it. By reaching the final qualifying round, the three have received around €1 million each (champion Sejani will receive an additional €260,000 if they fail to qualify), and the bonus for breaking through the divisional league is an additional €31.7 million, or a total of around €4 million. Then there are the draw bonuses (€133,000 each) and the group win bonus (€400,000 each), etc.

Final round of divisional league qualifiers:

19.00: Olimpia – Rijeka (first match 1:1)

20.15: Maribor – Djurgarden (0:1)

20.15: Celje – Pujunik (0:1)
