ST. KITTS AND NEVIS (WINN): The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force issued an urgent request on August 28 to locate 15-year-old Vincia Cannegeiter.
Kanegate, a resident of New Horizons Rehabilitation Center, had been missing for nearly two weeks before media was notified.
Her grandmother, Shirley Walters, posted on social media: “Vincia, please give yourself up. Grandma loves you. I don’t want anything to happen to you. Love you.”
Stories of multiple children escaping from the rehabilitation centre have circulated on social media, but authorities have yet to officially confirm the claims.
However, police confirmed the missing persons report.
The community is being asked to help search for Vincia Cannegeiter.
