Crisiuma hosts Red Bull in a delayed match in the 19th round of the Brazilian Championship Bragantinothis Wednesday (28), at Heriberto Hulse. Tigre took advantage of the home field and won 1-0 with Marcelo Elmes scoring the winning goal in the first half.
game:
Playing at home and needing a win to stay out of the relegation zone in the Brazilian Championship, Crisiuma took the initiative and Alano’s shot scared Bragantino in the opening minutes. Matheusinho also had a chance against an opponent who created little.
Tigre’s persistence paid off in the 36th minute. In an attack on the edge of the penalty area, Bolasie tried to shoot, the defender partially cleared the ball and it fell to Marcelo Elmes. The Crisiuma defender hit it hard with his left leg and gave Clayton no chance: 1-0.
Still in the first half, Red Bull Bragantino tried to equalize the score with a shot from Lincoln, but the shot did not go in the intended direction but crossed the baseline.
In the second period, Red Bull Bragantino returned with a substitution, sending Thiago Borbas and Jon Jon on. The change almost paid off in the first minute, with Borbas’ shot going wide. Mosquera got a chance soon after, but he mis-connected the ball and shot high.
Crisiuma responded and got another chance to Alano, but Alano also didn’t get a good shot at the end. However, it was Bragantino who followed the best. Goalkeeper Gustavo was forced to shoot two dangerous shots, the main one of which was a great shot from Lucas Evangelista.
Tigre gradually got back into the game and created other chances, but the game looked more open than in the first half. Bragantino managed to save the day and power through the attack, although they failed to succeed in the decisive moment.
