“A soldier who served his country”. Ciucă occupies an empty board, with PNL prepaying for 2024

Simon’s criminal charges have not chilled candidate Ciucă. The PNL candidate explained to Denise Rifai’s “opposition” that this was an advertising buy throughout the election year. Nicolae Ciucă said that everything was done with the greatest transparency and that state funds were allocated to the PNL for the campaign.

In all of these efforts, we have shown the utmost transparency, and we have provided all the numbers and all the data as requested, in accordance with the procedures of 544. This is an issue that he explained before, and I explain it now.

The National Liberal Party decided at the beginning of this year, taking into account all election cycles, from February until the end of the year, that we would purchase panels throughout 2024.

The panels were bought by the National Liberal Party, so it was not a question of promoting the book. The first panels appeared on the occasion of the 149th anniversary of the National Liberal Party, during the European People’s Party Congress, and at the time of the local elections.

Later, because these elections merged the local elections and the European Parliament elections, one stage was reduced, so there was a considerable amount of time and space left. Anyway, they were all paid, so they had to be covered up with something.

The National Liberal Party decided that this space should be covered by a communication policy, by deciding to promote the party through this method and of course the party’s leaders, so the emergence of this book has nothing to do with the book, explains Nicolae Ciucă, it has to do with the leaders.
