British rock band Oasis have officially announced that they will reunite and go on a world tour in 2025, starting in the UK.
British rock legends Oasis announced on Tuesday they will reunite for a world tour starting in the UK next year, the same year brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher ended a 15-year feud.
The band, which has created hits such as Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back In Anger and Champagne Supernova, announced at X that they will play in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and the Irish capital Dublin.
Oasis, which formed in Manchester in 1991 and is credited with helping to kick-start the 1990s Britpop era, will perform together for the first time since the Gallagher brothers fell out in 2009.
“The guns have fallen silent, the stars have aligned. The long wait is over. Come see it. It won’t be on TV.” Oasis announced the first details of their tour while announcing the reunion.
This marked the end of days of hints and heated speculation that the band would perform again.
The tour will kick off on July 4, 2025 with two nights at the Principality Stadium in the Welsh capital of Cardiff, before performing at Heaton Park in their hometown of Manchester.
The team will then play at London’s Wembley Stadium in early August, Murrayfield Stadium in the Scottish capital Edinburgh, and move to Dublin’s Croke Park later that month.
An online statement said: “This is their only show in Europe next year and it will be one of the biggest live performance moments and most sought-after tickets in a decade.”
“Plans are underway for Oasis Live ’25 to travel to other continents outside of Europe later next year.”

Oasis has long been synonymous with 90s Britpop, when it competed against London band Blur, co-founded by Damon Albarn. The Manchester band was also notorious for a public row between Liam and Noel.
In 2009, the brothers’ feud came to a head when Liam broke one of Noel’s guitars during the Rock n’ Seine festival in Paris.
The brothers haven’t performed together since their acrimonious split – but they still regularly play their former band’s hits to packed crowds.
Until now, they have communicated publicly mainly by attacking each other on social media.
The reunion coincides with the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ 1995 album (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, which received international critical and commercial acclaim.
Britain’s Press Association (PA) news agency said the first recorded tracks from the band’s debut album, Definitely Maybe, will be released on Friday, a day after its 30th anniversary.
Included are never-before-seen versions of “Live Forever,” “Cigarettes & Alcohol” and “Rock ‘N’ Roll Star,” recorded during their first session as a signed band.
However, PA said it understands speculation that Oasis will appear on the 2025 Glastonbury Festival schedule next year is not true.
The brothers had previously hinted at a reconciliation, with Noel saying last year that he would “never say never” about a reunion.
But signs that the brothers are about to reunite are becoming increasingly clear, with both the brothers’ and Oasis’ social media accounts making announcements on Tuesday.
Tickets for the UK tour go on sale at 9am (08:00 GMT) on Saturday, with tickets for the Dublin tour going on sale at 8am the same day.
Oasis broke up in 2009 after brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher got into a violent argument backstage before a concert in Paris, leading to Noel quitting the band.
The breakup marks the end of one of the most iconic British rock bands of the 1990s, a group known for its turbulent relationships.
