Liverpool could part ways with four more players before the end of this summer’s transfer window, with Joe Gomez leading the way, a leading journalist has revealed.

On August 27, 2024, James Pearce, a Liverpool reporter for the British mainstream media “The Athletic”, reported that the famous Premier League club Liverpool may release up to 4 more players before the summer transfer market closes.

James Pearce says Joe Gomez, a versatile defender, is likely to leave Liverpool for the chance to play regularly after being named in new manager Arne Sloter’s reserve team amid reports Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are interested.

Another of the three set to leave Liverpool this summer is young Spanish midfielder Stefan Bycetic, who is rumoured to be closing in on a deal to join Austrian top-flight giants Red Bull Salzkammerguy on loan for a season under the management of Pep Leanders, a former assistant to Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

Rising star midfielder Taylor Morton, 21, is rumoured to be joining last season’s Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen from former Liverpool manager Xabi Alonso, while 18-year-old forward Ben Doak is set to join on a season-long loan, with several teams in England also interested.
