Two Delta Air Lines employees were killed and another was injured when a tire exploded while they were changing a tire at Atlanta airport.
One of the dead and injured was an airline employee, and the other dead was a subcontractor.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning as workers were removing tires. According to foreign media reports, the plane was flying from Las Vegas to Atlanta on Sunday evening.
A spokesperson for Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport confirmed that the incident occurred at a Delta Air Lines facility, while noting that no other airport flights were affected.
The IAM union confirmed the tragic incident and called on authorities to conduct a full investigation into the situation.
