Olivija Baleišytė, a student of the Panevėžys Sports Centre, won the gold medal at the Prague Summer Track International Cycling Track Competition held in the Czech Republic.
The cyclist trained by coach Dmitrii Leopold was the fastest in the scratch event. The athlete surpassed 21 competitors and finished the 10 km (30 laps) distance first. Panevěž also became the group points champion – in the 20 km (60 laps) distance, she crossed the finish line first. O. Baleišyte had to surpass 20 competitors in this competition.
