Phikwe mine is rich in resources and PNRL has achieved good results
Premium Nickel Resources Limited (PNRL), owner of the former BCL mine at Selebi Phikwe, has reported a preliminary estimate of mineral resources at the discontinued mine of 27.7 million tonnes (MT), with the latest estimate higher than historical estimates at both mines.
The mineral resource estimate for the Selebi Main Deposit pit is 67% higher than the previous estimate, at 18.89 million tonnes grading 3.51% copper equivalent (CuEq) and 1.70% nickel equivalent (NiEq). Inferred metals are 165,000 tonnes of nickel and 319,000 tonnes of copper.
