The 4’C’ Region Police have arrested and produced before the court three men from East Coast Demerara for allegedly carrying out a series of armed robberies at three petrol stations (gas stations) on August 20, 2024, namely, the Guyoil Station on Railway Embankment Road and the Chico Ramas Station in Koldingan, ECD; and the Rubis Station in Saxes, ECD on August 23, 2024.
The suspects allegedly drove into the gas station in a grey Axio sedan, armed with a handgun and a dagger, and robbed the gas station attendant and a security guard before robbing the victims of cash, cell phones and jewelry totaling $340,000 at three locations.
Police said they were arrested by the Anti-Crime Bicycle Patrol on August 23 and were brought to court today (August 26) on charges of armed robbery.
They were all thrown into jail.
