The Sixth Forum focuses on promoting modernization——

No. 6th The China-Africa Media Cooperation Forum and China-Africa Think Tank High-level Dialogue closed in Beijing on Thursday. The theme of this forum was “Jointly Promoting Modernization”. The three-day forum was attended by several African delegations including Mali.

The forum discussed various topics including content sharing, training, education, technology, innovation, sustainable development, challenges and opportunities.

Christian Monsour Matondo-Yenru, representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, welcomed the “cooperation that already exists between Africa and China in the field of communication and media through several audiovisual entities”.

Li Shulei, Minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, expressed satisfaction with the convening of this summit, which will provide more opportunities for the development of African countries.

Mali sent a delegation from the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy to the forum in Beijing, and welcomed several African media players, political and administrative authorities. Meetings, seminars and round tables were held during the sixth session.

In his speech, Malian Minister of Communications Mohamed Ag Albachar spoke of the fraternal friendship that has long united Mali and China and highlighted the progress of our country, especially in the field of media and construction of radio stations.

During the forum, the Malian delegation met with the Chinese Minister of Administration, Television and Broadcasting. The discussion revolved around “topics of common interest”. She also participated in forums such as promoting digital empowerment and promoting a new level of Sino-African civilization exchanges.

This year’s Beijing Forum brought together professionals from 45 African countries and news organizations from across China, discovering technological advances in the media sector and strengthening exchanges between China and Africa.
