Vacationing is like our inherent way of relaxing as Singaporeans. We work hard and then look forward to a well-deserved break in Japan, Korea or any destination that takes our fancy.
So when I got the job to host CNA’s new travel show, A Street Like This, it was a dream come true. but I also went to places I always wanted to go: Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Pakistan and India.
But it came with a very weird caveat – I wasn’t actually exploring entire countries and regions, just specific streets.
Yes, it sounds ridiculous: you travel hundreds and thousands of miles, book flights and accommodation, organize your itinerary, and then just walk down a street on your vacation?
