In Uzbekistan, nature protectors and cleanest communities to be rewarded Report Republic Sanitation and Cleaning Engineering Organization Center

The “Nature Harmony Guardian” and “Cleanest Community” competitions are held to encourage garbage and cleanup workers and turn the community into a clean and garbage-free area.

“Defender of Natural Harmony” ——Employees in sanitation and cleaning companies who are engaged in garbage loading, transportation, placement, and classification, as well as those who are engaged in cleaning work in improvement departments and have worked faithfully for more than 10 years, can participate in the competition.

The competition will start on September 1, and the winners will be determined and awarded on December 8. The children or grandchildren of the winners will receive a contract fee for one year (but not more than 30 times the BHM (13.6 million soums)) if they study at a public higher education institution.

“The cleanest neighborhood” The competition is held every year from November to January in the form of district and city qualifiers, regional qualifiers and republican rounds. The winners of this competition will be awarded on March 21 (the eve of the Navruz holiday).

According to the results of the competition, the winning communities of Karakalpakstan, the region and the city of Tashkent will each receive a cash prize of 500 million soums for the construction of garbage collection stations, installation of garbage containers at social facilities in the communities, and the planting of trees will be omitted. In addition, 1 electric car will be handed over for service.

In addition, 100 bicycles and other rewards will be distributed every month to employees of sanitation companies who are responsible for loading, transporting, placing and sorting garbage, as well as cleaning staff in improvement departments, ecological activists, public environment supervisors, etc.

The purpose of these competitions is to “promote ecological knowledge and culture among the population, improve the ecological safety work system related to garbage, support industry volunteers, and prevent the negative impact of garbage on human health and the environment” by going to non-designated locations to emphasize not to litter.
