Veterinarians from Europe arrived in Buryatia to sterilize dogs for free.

This was informed by the district veterinary department.

According to the ministry, veterinarians from German and French animal protection organizations will work from August 12 to 25. “As animal rights activists, our goal is to reduce the number of stray animals in Buryatia, because there are too many dogs and the shelters are overcrowded. New animals come to us every day,” explained volunteer Nargiz Muminova.

Foreign doctors are also said to be sharing their experience with Buryat veterinarians. “We want to master new methods, speed up operations and improve quality to reduce the risk of repeated visits due to complications,” explained veterinarian Anna Lugovaya.
