The MP’s power is protected by inaction or manipulated in improper ways to release criminals and persecute innocent people in retaliation for denouncing or fighting corruption.
In the hands of the evil triangle, the Congress is no longer a prestigious institution with legitimacy in Guatemalan society. It was once one of the most socially supported entities, but today it is a despised entity due to the actions of those crooked leaders.
