The stewards were not convinced by Rye Joorawon’s explanation of his riding of In With A Chance on Day 15. The Mauritian record winner was penalised under Rule 43.2.7, which states that “a jockey fails to ride a mount to the conclusion of a race in a manner satisfactory to the salaried stewards”. He will have to suspend racing for six weeks.
