Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Waltz struck a note of hope in his speech to the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, calling on middle-class Americans to take back control of government from the “Make America Great Again” Republicans. But the rousing rhetoric did little to stop Donald Trump and J.D. Vance’s plans for reelection.

After Waltz’s speech, New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker shared his interpretation of the “weird” label.
“The fact is, Donald Trump is going to show us who he is. There is a quirkiness and a weirdness about him that he has on the campaign trail,” Booker told CNN. “We all have our quirks. I don’t like to talk down to anybody. In fact, I believe they’re trying to say that this kind of behavior is not the kind of behavior you want to see in the White House.”
Before leaving the field, the former football coach gave another inspiring speech for “Team America.”
“It’s the fourth quarter. We’re down one,” Waltz said. Tell The crowd was like, “But we’re attacking, we’ve got the ball. We’re moving down the field, man, we’ve got a proper team.”
