Ahmed Asser, the founder of the Port Said Film Festival and film critic, confirmed that director Mohamed Fadel serves as the honorary chairman of the first Port Said Film Festival. Mohamed Fadel, the distinguished director who represents the artistic values that contribute to Egypt’s theatrical industry, noted that his selection as the festival’s honorary president is an honor and a positive addition to the value of cinematic cultural events, as well as a step forward that affirms Egypt’s leading position in the Arab cinema industry through its shining symbol.
It is noteworthy that the activities of the Port Said Film Festival are held under the patronage of the Minister of Culture, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, and this is the first time in the ancient history of this brave city that a film event named after Port Said has been held.
According to the published festival regulations, the festival is scheduled to take place from December 1 to 5, 2024, which will be its annual event dates during the upcoming session.
