Ahmed Hussain, the organizing secretary of the Awami League, and M. Sohail, a retired navy major general and former chairman of the Chittagong Port, have been remanded in 10-day custody by the police in connection with the shooting of youth leader Naveen Talukdar at the Paltan police station.

On Wednesday (August 21), investigating officer Paltan police station sub-inspector Nazmul Hasan applied for remand in order to properly investigate the case.
The remand hearing will be held at the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Muhammad Jassim in the presence of the accused.
Earlier, DB arrested M Sohail from Banani and Ahmad Hossain from Gulshan area on Tuesday (August 20) night. Later they were kept at the DB office.
