The “Ėuolo” pre-gymnasium in Panevezh, which took part in the “Millennium School” project, has been reconstructed.

The company “Ilgas ešika”, which won the public procurement competition, will be responsible for the repair works on the area in front of the stadium. According to the announcement of the Panevěž Municipality, during the renovation, natural science laboratories – physics, biology, chemistry, as well as an innovative steam space will be installed.
During the renovation, the hall will be renovated, educational spaces for cultural education will be set up, door openings will be widened, and walls will be repaired. The second floor of the school will be equipped with science classrooms, teachers’ rooms, energy-saving LED lamps, thermal insulation and sun-reflecting shutters will be installed. The necessary equipment and furniture will also be purchased, and engineering systems will be updated. The premises will be accessible to people with disabilities – there will be an elevator that will allow them to get from the ground floor to the second floor.
The company plans to carry out repair work within 6 months after the contract takes effect.
“The implementation direction of the ‘Millennium School’ program chosen by the Panevěž Municipality is in line with the STEAM education standards. Our goal is to strengthen the application of mathematical knowledge, the development of artistic abilities and the cultivation of cultural education. We hope that this will improve the scores on achievement tests in mathematics, Lithuanian language and literature and reduce the achievement gap between city schools”, said Silvija Sėrikovienė, Head of the Education Department of the Panevěž Municipality.
In addition to the “Ėuolo” gymnasium, design work for the renovation of other schools participating in the “Millennium Schools” program (Juoz Miltinis, Juoz Balčikonis gymnasium and Panevėžys primary school) is also underway.
In Panevėžys schools participating in the Millennium Project, science classrooms, equipment and tools will be renovated, and STE(A)M educational spaces will be created to promote cultural education.
