More details have been learned about the double murder in Velipoja, where two brothers, Eduart and Gëzim Frroku, shot and killed citizens with guns: 33-year-old Erild Ishmi and 22-year-old Arsid Hoxha.
It is reported that the two brothers were the owners of a hotel in Velipoja and had a conflict with the victim two months ago.
Initially, on June 28, the perpetrators had an argument with the hotel’s waiter and cook. After the quarrel, one of the victims, Erild Ishmi, who had a friendly relationship with the waiter and cook, started arguing with the two brothers.
On the same day, as a result of this conflict, the police captured and arrested Elild Ishmi, and the court placed him under “house arrest”, a measure that remained in effect until the incident tonight.

On August 19, 2024, at around 21:00, in Velipoa, the two brothers EF and GF, allegedly with a weak motive, injured citizens AH and E. I with firearms, who were immediately taken to the regional hospital in Shkodra for medical assistance, but due to the severity of their injuries, they died in the hospital.
After receiving the notification, the heads of the Shkodra Local Police Department, the Bureau and the Shkodra Police Department as well as the Shkodra Detachment of the National Security Forces immediately rushed to the scene.
Meanwhile, a special investigation team has been set up and is working intensively on the scene, in cooperation with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, to obtain evidence in order to file a criminal record on this incident.
