The country’s emergency services were kept busy this afternoon, with three rescues carried out in a matter of hours, the first near Luxembourg City and two more in the north of the country.

At around 11:41 a.m., an accident occurred near the Croix de Gasperich interchange on the A1 motorway, leaving two people injured.

Then, just before 3 p.m., a motorcyclist was injured in Marnach. Emergency services from Kleve responded to the scene.

At 4:51 p.m., in Bigeville, a bicyclist was struck and an ambulance was dispatched by the Wilts and Lambrook fire departments.
