Military intelligence chief loses service gun and laptop
The Director of Military Intelligence of the Botswana Defence Force (BDF), Brigadier General Modise Terhag, was allegedly caught losing his service gun and laptop while taking a nap. Terhag’s vehicle was broken into, resulting in the theft of important items including his service gun, service laptop and undisclosed personal belongings.
The incident, confirmed by Bangladesh Defense Force Public Relations Officer Lieutenant Colonel Farna Maswami, raises serious concerns about the security of military operations and state secrets. The theft of a military pistol and an official laptop that could contain sensitive information also raises questions about the protection of confidential data within the Bangladesh Defense Force.
