(Press release) The Chilean government has quickly donated $60,000 to three Caribbean countries severely affected by Hurricane Beryl in July. The recipients are Jamaica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Grenada. The donation was provided by the Chilean Foundation against Hunger and Poverty and will be forwarded through the Red Cross Societies of these countries.
The Chile Fund is an initiative managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Chilean Agency for Cooperation and Development (AGCID) in partnership with the United Nations
The Chilean Development Programme has been providing humanitarian assistance to countries affected by various disasters since 2011.
