Türkiye’s women’s under-20 volleyball team won the European Volleyball Championship by defeating Italy 3-2 in the final.
The Turkish national team won all seven of its group matches at the World Cup hosted by Bulgaria and Ireland, and advanced to the final by defeating Poland in the semi-finals.
In the final held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, the Turkish national team defeated Italy 22-25, 25-16, 25-19, 17-25 and 15-11 in 117 minutes to become the European champion.
