Rinat Alon, 46, a mother of two, has lived in Rehovot for 20 years, managed the advertising department of the Rehovot Municipal Corporation for seven years, and played a central role in managing many productions and cultural events in the municipality.

In addition to his municipal work, Alon has also had an independent business in the field of production, content, writing and editing books for the past 20 years. Alon holds a bachelor’s degree from Tel Aviv University and is a well-known social activist in the city.

During the corona crisis, she launched the campaign “Shoppers of Rehovot” together with other residents to encourage local purchases and support small businesses in the city. With the outbreak of the “Iron Sword” war, Alon launched another social project called “Shoppers of Rehovot” – “Hybok Rehovoti” – a city assistance system for female reservists in Rehovot. Last year, Alon served as a spokesperson for the campaign of the elected mayor, Matandil, in the local authority elections.

Alon took over as the city’s spokesperson after former Speaker Regev-Kiser resigned from the position she held for six and a half years.
