Amazon’s cloud services unit has suspended orders for Nvidia’s most advanced “superchips” pending new, more powerful models, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday.

Nvidia said in March that the new model, called Blackwell, is the chip industry heavyweight’s new flagship AI processor and is expected to ship later this year.

According to reports, Amazon Web Services, the world’s largest cloud services company, has “fully transitioned” its previous order for Nvidia’s Grace Hopper chips.

Amazon and Nvidia did not immediately respond to Reuters’ requests for comment.
