One of Iran’s largest and most prominent attack groups, the Handala Group, announced today (Thursday) that it had successfully penetrated the systems of EPS Tech Ltd., a company that supplies embedded electronics to sensitive Israeli military and security infrastructure.
According to the hackers, they were able to access top-secret information of the company, including planning documents, source code of exclusive military software, emails, financial and administrative documents, etc. The amount of stolen information is estimated to be more than 8 TB. The group even announced its intention to publish the stolen information soon.
“This company is one of the straw companies of Unit 8200, which develops and designs highly sensitive and secret military and security infrastructure of the Zionist regime under the management of Daniel Applebaum,” the hackers wrote in the statement. “Some of the main clients of this company are: Israel Aerospace Industries, Elbit Group, Tadiran Group, Elishara Group, etc. This company played a major role in the brutal killing of our women and children.”
If EPS Tech Ltd’s systems were compromised, if true, it could have significant implications for the Israeli security industry. So far, Israeli authorities have not officially responded to the EPS Tech Ltd system breach.
