Russian officials said the operation near the town of Glushkov cut off parts of the area.
The Kremlin uses the bridge to supply its troops, so its destruction could complicate their operations.
Roman Alekhin, adviser to the governor of the Kursk region, announced the destruction of the bridge on Friday. He also wrote on his Telegram channel that Ukrainian troops allegedly attacked a bridge in the village of Zvanoye.
“Kursk region. Glushkov. Ukrainian troops destroyed the bridge over the Seim River. The enemy also attacked the bridge in the village of Zvanoye, Glushkov district. The enemy has taken action to implement a plan to occupy parts of the Glushkov region along the Seim River,” wrote R. Ariochin.
