Traffic disruptions are expected as the A1 motorway will be restricted to one lane over the weekend due to roadworks near the Mansbach viaduct.
Work will begin at 6:30pm on Friday, August 16 and is expected to be completed by 6am on Monday.
The A1 will operate in a two-way mode between the Munsbach and Flaxweiler interchanges, with one lane in each direction. During the change, the speed limit will be 50 km/h.
The access road from Monsbach (CR132) to Trier will be closed to traffic and vehicles will be detoured via the A1 to Luxembourg City and then back to the A1 via the Cargo Center Interchange to the German border.
Drivers may experience traffic congestion Friday afternoon as construction prepares to get underway.
