WuSouth America-based airline JetBlue will add flights from Boston to Barbados during the upcoming winter season, offering three flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The airline will continue to deploy its premium Mint service on Saturday flights throughout the season.

Minister of Tourism and International Transport Iain Gooding-Edhill welcomed the expansion and said it “reflects the airline’s commitment to Barbados” and is in line with his vision for continued growth in the tourism industry.

Gooding-Edghill said: “We are delighted to welcome JetBlue’s expansion from Boston Logan Airport, with plans to launch three times weekly flights in late October 2024. This development aligns with our desire to grow the US market and underscores their confidence and commitment to Barbados. JetBlue continues to be a trusted partner in this strategic and considered effort to ensure sustainable growth for Barbados – both in terms of arrivals and revenue.”

Andrea Franklin, CEO of Barbados Tourism Marketing, stressed that the additional capacity will bring more business opportunities to the New England region, which is increasingly attracting attention from BTMI and JetBlue. Boston has been home to a large Barbadian American community for generations.

“Barbados remains popular and our tourism product continues to attract visitors,” said Franklin. “These additional flights will support our growth during the winter peak season and provide convenient connections for our core leisure passengers and expatriates – many of whom have expressed interest in returning to Barbados for the 2025 We Are Together event.”
