DESOTO COUNTY, Miss. (LPL) – A serious accident in DeSoto County left two young people dead and one seriously injured.
Brandon Muñoz, 17, Santiago Girón-Rico, 18, and a 17-year-old boy were on Interstate 269 near the Laughter exit after attending a birthday party on Sunday, Aug. 11, when the driver lost control of the GMC Sierra and flipped over several times.
Authorities found the vehicle destroyed, Brandon Munoz and Santiago Giron-Rico dead inside, and the driver seriously injured and rushed to the hospital.
Family and friends are devastated, especially with the recent announcement that Santiago Giron-Rico will become a father for the first time.
