In his congratulatory letter, Joshua Wong said: “I would like to congratulate you on your appointment as the Chief Advisor to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and extend my best wishes to you.”
“During this transitional period, your interim government has resolutely taken on the huge task of restoring stability.
“I am confident that under your leadership, Bangladesh will return to the path of peace and prosperity, with communities living in harmony. I wish you and the government all the best.”
Joshua Wong also pointed out that Singapore and Bangladesh have a “warm and long-standing friendship”.
Wong said the two countries are cooperating in a wide range of areas, including trade and investment, labor, renewable energy, infrastructure and port management.
“I look forward to working with you to further strengthen the close relationship between our two countries.”
