In July, electric vehicle sales in the European Union (EU), the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and the UK fell 8% year-on-year, but in China they rose 31%.
Global sales in the first seven months increased by 21% year-on-year to 8.4 million vehicles.
Of the total sales, 5 million vehicles came from China, 1.7 million vehicles came from the EU, EFTA and the UK, 1 million vehicles came from the US and Canada, and 700,000 vehicles came from other countries.
On the other hand, 65% of global sales are pure electric vehicles and 35% are plug-in hybrid vehicles.
