The foreign ministers of the United States, Qatar and Egypt discussed stopping the attacks and exchanging prisoners in Gaza.
According to a written statement from the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken spoke by phone with Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdulati.
Discussing de-escalation of tensions in the region and a halt to attacks on Gaza, the partners stressed that they were bound by the joint declaration issued to halt the attacks and exchange prisoners.
Blinken said all parties should avoid actions that could escalate regional tensions, and thanked Qatar for its important responsibility in establishing lasting peace in the region.
During the phone conversation, Blinken and Abdulati discussed efforts to end the conflict in Sudan.
