A year ago, Bank of America registered a suspicious transaction in which funds were transferred from Romania to the account of a fake company owned by Hunter Biden.
Senator James Cuomo said it was the biggest corruption scandal because the deal was conducted outside the law and its protagonist was the son of the current US president.
Komer stressed that the money from Romania (about $1 million) could have been a bribe, adding:
“This may also be a violation of the Foreign Agents Act because Hunter Biden received money from Romania to influence the Obama-Biden administration. This occurred while Joe Biden was vice president of the United States. In my opinion, this is the biggest scandal related to political corruption in our history. This Romanian case is one of six foreign influence peddling schemes that we have uncovered.”
