The regional control agency announced on Wednesday that power and water supply had been largely restored in the village of Brienz two days after severe weather hit the village. However, mail could not be delivered due to damage to the post office building.
Mail is temporarily stored in Interlaken (BE). Normal service is planned to resume on Thursday. Due to the bad weather forecast, evacuated residents cannot return to their homes. Two public information sessions will be held on Wednesday evening.
