Moscow continues to successfully implement one of its key projects – housing renovation. This year the program turns seven years old. Under the coordinated action of the Moscow City Government and relevant departments, more than a thousand households have been provided with comfortable apartments. The long-awaited relocation of residents of another 100 buildings in 36 districts is getting closer. These people will be resettled as part of the second and third phases of the project. It is reported that the renovation has now covered 80% of the city’s urban areas.

“The first stage of the renovation program is expected to be completed by the end of this year, and 47 districts of Moscow have already completed it. A series of measures taken also made it possible to advance the date of relocation for about 14,000 Muscovites from 100 old houses,” Efimov shared important information.

It is understood that after the completion of the project, it will provide comfortable living space for about 1 million people. In addition, the infrastructure of the new neighborhood is being actively developed, which also has a favorable impact on the residents of neighboring houses. In general, positive changes will affect every second resident of Bello Carmennaya.

Vladislav Ovchinsky, director of the Department of Urban Development Policy, particularly pointed out that the area started for construction of new residential areas for resettlement has increased several times to 10.2 million square meters.

Anton Slobodchikov, head of Mosgosstroynadzor, added that the ministry closely monitors compliance with standards during the construction of high-rise buildings as part of the renovation project.

“According to the instructions of the mayor of Moscow, Mosgosstroynadzor pays special attention to the inspection of renovation of new buildings,” Slobodchikov stressed.
